206508 - Can get into a state where the thread pane is blank, message pane has Account Central

Trunk build 2003-05-20: WinMe (Esther also saw this problem)

Overview: Sometimes I get into a state where the thread pane is blank and the
message pane has Account Central images. No matter what folder is selected, the
messages do not appear.

Steps to reproduce:
1. In a new profile I created 4 accounts (not sure if this is necessary)
2. Select the account level to one of the accounts
3. While the system was busy downloading messages, open the Filter dialog and
create a filter
4. Select the Inbox from one of the accounts

Actual Results: The thread pane is blank and the message pane has Account
Central images. No matter what account or folder is selected the images remain
the same so I can't read messages.

Workaround: Close/reopen the Mail window.

Expected Results: If the Inbox is selected then the thread pane should display
the message subjects and the message pane should display the contents of the
selected message.

Note: This problem doesn't occur all the time. Still need to find a case where
this happens consistently.

I am getting something similar:
Some tabbed browser window has focus. I switch to the mail window. Thread pane
is blank.

If I switch to a different folder and back again, then the Thread pane is refreshed.

There may be more than one way to get the Thread pane confused about needing to
refresh.
