Could you please clarify what kind of passwords you mean? Out of the top of my head, I can think of the following: 1. Passwords to be able to connect to an IRC server 2. Passwords for /oper, to claim server operator status. 3. Passwords for nickserv, to identify yourself as the owner of a nickname 4. Channel keys, to gain access to channels which have mode +k set.

I think most users wants the 3rd point (something that mIRC can handle). The 1st point I never saw. And 2 and point 4 would something that also can be saved. But maybe we need a cleaned up password manager.

(In reply to comment #2) > I think most users wants the 3rd point (something that mIRC can handle). ChatZilla handles it too, thankyouverymuch. :P

I see the im://prpl-rc passwords are now stored in the password manager. If this bug was about passwords for nickserv, it should probably be resolved fixed or worksforme?

I don't know what im://prpl-rc is but I don't see it having any connection to ChatZilla, what this bug is about.
