User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030531
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030531

The reference URL is the "free" section of http://www.mikebonnel.com/ - which,
itself, does load properly. But using Mozilla, the reference URL doesn't
display anything at all, even though a vertical scrollbar is generating,
indicating the content that's there, just not visible.

IE shows the site properly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
The site used to work with Mozilla, so adding regression keyword. (Although I'm
not sure if the regression is in Mozilla code or in the site code - since I
haven't identified the actual cause of the non-display.)
Keywords: regression
Site works for me in
5/29 mozilla build (1.4b)
5/30 commercial trunk build

Is the site still blank? Maybe they had a problem temporarily.

Marking invalid.

Please don't mark a bug as invalid on such evidence as it working for you.
There are many different factors that might go into this. What OS are you
running? Site remains blank under 5/31 XP. Also, nothing is displayed with the
5/23 build of Firebird under XP either. This is not a temporary glitch - as is
obvious by the fact that it does display just fine under IE (see the summary again).

This worksforme as well in 2003052703 on mac os x. The page loads and the dhtml
sidebar moves with scrolling as well. Reporter: can you attach a screenshot please?

Oddly, with the 6/1-08 version of Mozilla I'm no longer even getting the
scrollbar. But Firebird still shows the scrollbar even if the rest is blank...
Summary: mikebonnel.com - nothing is displayed with Mozilla. → mikebonnell.com - nothing is displayed with Mozilla.
FWIW, the 6/1 build of Firebird still shows the vertical scrollbar. So,
whatever changed in Mozilla that now causes the scrollbar to not be shown,
happened between the 5/31 and 6/1 builds and was Mozilla specific.
If I view the source of the page, save it locally, and open THAT in
Mozilla/Firebird it actually works. (Local links are broken, but I see the text
and placeholders.)

If I download the referenced .js scripts it still works locally - so it's not
those that are somehow causing the problem. Similarly if I look at Page Info
and go to the Media tab, I can see all of the images that are supposed to be
being displayed.

Some kind of networking bug perhaps?
Aha! From the JavaScript Console:

Error: uncaught exception: Permission denied to set properly HTMLImageElement.src

I only get the error when viewing the page from the site itself - the error is
not generated from locally saved copies of the .js files.
This appears to be only on XP since it works for Win2k and Mac OS X. Over to
security to check for an XP only regression.

The JavaScript error seen here is identical to the one seen in bug 144416.

If they both have the same cause, they can/should both be resolved by fixing a
lower-level bug. (Either marked as duplicates, or have a dependency set.)
Depends on: 209293
Just checked this again with a 9/13-06 build. I'm still seeing the same
JavaScript errors as already mentioned, but the map is now actually animating
for me.

I have no idea what fixed this.
