Firebird doesn't: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030710 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 Seamonkey works: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030709 My belief is whatever the real version detection code they're using is misdetecting firebird as an earlier version of Mozilla/Netscape, causing the problem. Since they don't throw this error for Seamonkey builds with almost the same UA string, and navigator.appVersion and navigator.userAgent return the same version code within JavaScript, this is something you'll want to address with their tech support. If they're not willing to deal with you over this, it could be reopened and moved to Tech Evangelism. Since its their code that's misdetecting the browser version, and they do appear to support Mozilla already, I would say this is a problem they'd be willing to resolve unless they're not ready to support Firebird yet.
