User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030709 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030709 Mozilla 1.4 crashes when I try to load a binary file (junk binary data). Not all binary files cause the crash. I will attach the binary file that causes the problem. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Close any important mozilla windows. 2. Open the binary file. 3. Browser crashes before anything is displayed. Actual Results: The browsers crashed. Expected Results: Mozilla should have displayed the binary form as junk charcters as it normally does.

More info on reproducing: Downloading the attachement, saving it to disk and loading in the browser did not cause mozilla to crash. However, exiting mozilla, restarting, then loading the file causes the browser to crash.

I use Gentoo on my system. My version was built from the 1.4 sources with XFT. It does not have talkback, sorry.
