This problem occurs periodically. We have quite a headache as we depend on the
STATUS being new and new mail appearing BOLD to track down the new mails
received. However, at times although the mail is new, it does not appear bold
and the status turns to read when we hv not read the mail and thus important
mails from our clients tend to get ommitted. Is there a fix for this or sm
settings that need to be amended

New mail should always remain bold
Li Ling, you did not specify which build of Mozilla you are using. Is this bug
occurring with 1.4 Final?

Is the problem with the messages themselves not being bold, or the folders
containing the new messages not being bold?

Are you sure you do not have any filters processing the mail which may be
marking some messages as read?
Oh I'm sorry ... this is the Morzilla 1.3 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT
5.0; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312) Version.

The messages themselves are not bold. and there is an option to customize the
Inbox - "STatus" which changes to read if the mail has been opened, replied if
you reply etc. The status will change to "READ" and the Green dot that
indicates a new mail will become black.

I have no mail filters set up on my account at all.
Please try Mozilla 1.4 to see if the problem still exists. In general, do not
post bugs discovered with old versions without verifying the bug still exists in
a current version.
