User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 I am not sure whether this is a mozilla or arobat reader bug. Anyway when any pdf file is embedded in mozilla the search function does not find anything (it reports always 0 instances found). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Go to any page where there is a link to a pdf file 2.click on the link 3.type CTRL+F 4. type any word that you know is in the file Actual Results: No results are displayed Expected Results: You should get a list of all the occurrences of the word in the pdf file Of course the search function works when one opens a pdf file from a normal acrobat reader window. It seems to me that this did not occur with acrobat reader 5 but I may be wrong (I have uninstalled it since).

I have this exact same issue. Searching even for the word 'and' will come back with 0 results. Searching from the actually Reader 6 application works. I want to say that the search in the plugin in other browsers works, but when I closed Firebird and then reopened it, the search worked. But more often than not it does not. But like you, I don't know if it's the browser or plugin. Acrobat always sucked as a product.
