Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 I synch both at home and at my office. Each time I synch, the size of address book on my palm almost doubles because the addresses from the Moz AB are copied to the palm even though they have not been changed on either platform. However, the addresses that were added to Moz AB at my office, say, do not show up in Moz AB at home. This occurs only for certain addresses. It seems to be those that were added to Moz AB at one site or the other. These addresses are added again to the palm each time I synch but they don't show up at other site Moz AB. Also, the duplicates don't show up on either site Moz AB. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add address to Moz AB at home 2. Synch at home. 3. Address shows up on Palm 4. Synch at office. 5. New address does not show up at office. 6. Synch at home. 7. Duplicate of address shows up on palm. 8. Repeat until the address book on palm becomes uselessly full of duplicates. 9. Machines still don't share addresses. Actual Results: See above. Expected Results: There should remain only one copy of the address on the palm. The address added at home should show up on Moz AB in the office after both synchs.

is this still an issue, given subsequent condiut fixes? Don't one of the PCs have to be set to Palm overwrites PC?
Summary: multiple copies of addresses show up on palm but not on other synch site → multiple copies of addresses on palm after syncing to second PC (two)

I have not seen this in a long time. These days, without doing anything special on either machine, it works for me.

looks like addresses that are in the thunderbird address book and have an email address but don't have a phone number are the ones getting duplicated for me

I'm not seeing this. I synch on two machines with no problems at all now. I didn't do anything special on either machine. Other people seeing this bug should take over from here. Sorry I can't help more.

Ben:
>I'm not seeing this.
Ben, Just to be clear, ... you have entries in TB that have an email address but
don't have a phone number? And, please report your version from help>about.
Dave, Jeff, please report your version from help>about and your version of hotsync.
Jeff, is probabem happening for you and can you characterize it?

Ooops. Now I remember, those duplicates were driving me nuts so I stopped using Mozilla for my address book. Since then, obviously, I haven't been seeing duplicates. When this bug popped into my inbox again, I only thought about the fact that I hadn't noticed this problem for a long time and not about the fact that I haven't been using this feature for a long time. Sorry. I've actually been sync-ing with another application lately. So, to clarify: I have no idea whether this bug is there or not. I only know that it was irritating me enough that I don't want to start using Mozilla as my address book until it is definitely fixed. I'm even less help than I thought I was in comment 5.
