I have an IMAP folder with 3500 messages. About 10 minutes ago, I clicked "Run Junk Mail Controls on Folder", and the little spinner has been spinning ever since. (This command requires the program to download every message in the folder, which is what I wanted.) The status bar says, "Downloading message...", but I have no way of knowing how far along it is.

Reporter, can you please try reproduce this error on a newer build?

Ray: are you saying you cannot reproduce it? I have just tried again, with my build from yesterday, same problem. The message stays there until it is replaced by some other action. In more detail: 1. Highlight one msg. 2. Copy msg to another folder 3. Note that "Copying message to <folder>..." appears. 4. Note that that it never disappears. I have it visible on my window, yet I did the Copy about 5 minutes ago (and I've done nothing since). If you're only trying it on one message, you need to Copy it. With Move, the automatic next action (to load the next msg in the folder) will overwrite the message. If you Move the last message in the folder, or Move multiple messages, that won't happen, but Copy single msg is perhaps easiest to test. There be might an argument to leave on screen, since it's so quick that it could be missed. If so, I would instead suggest that the msg is changed, when the move/copy is complete, to indicate completion. e.g. change from "Copying" to "Copied". My concern here in all this is that the app gives the impression that the copy is still underway, and perhaps "hung" somewhere.

I would like to work on this bug. It would be nice if you could assign this bug to me. As I am a beginner I would also like to know where I should start with to fix this bug.

The first thing is probably to reproduce it. Or what did you want to fix? For progress we have the Activity Manager.
