browser crashed using javaplugin, but started when using gcc-32 version of the
plugin - anywhay, java didn't work.
using ns4.* -version of the plugin, it was shown in about:plugins, but didn't work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.make symbolic links from the plugins-direktory of your browser to that one of
the J2RE.
Actual Results:
no positive results

Expected Results:
java is very important for many applications

sun's J2RE-1.4.2-b28 works well with mozilla 1.3.1
same crash experience here: Mozilla 1.7.2, j2re 1.4.2
I just checked: libgcc_s.so.1 is installed
olaf, are you linking the proper Java JRE ? (ns610-gcc32, not ns610-gcc29) ?
yes, I linked ns610-gcc32. ns610-gcc29 did not exist, but ns610, and with a link
to ns610 Mozilla won't even start

highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
