We need an Events team who creates an agenda for all the
events/conferences/shows where Mozilla should have a presence, creates the
collateral materials, contact the event organizers, then finds volunteers to
staff the events. Any volunteers to set up the Events team?
> creates the collateral materials

I can do this.

Tristan wants to watch, too.
(If there is indeed an events-team mailing list as I saw indicated in mail, should
that get a comment over here?)
the mailing list is at http://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/events-team.

i can help out with the events team...i currently work with
InternetAdvancement.com a SEO (search engine optimization) company so i know my
way around a browser. currently all the computers at my work are using Mozilla
FireFox. If anyone knows how to promote this browser its me.
uh, not sure how I got here - just wanted to volunteer to help out with events.
I am a professional events organizer. my cover letter follows. If you have
further interest give me a call:
Dear Director,

Although a brief resume is enclosed, please allow me to tell you a little more
about how I believe I can help promote your company. My strongest professional
asset is arguably my experience with the highly successful Freeport and
Huntsville Main Street programs. As Executive Director of the Freeport Main
Street Program I implemented an awareness strategy that led to an increase in
traffic and business development in the downtown area. The campaign included
print advertising, promotional events, and other exposure including three film
segments aired on HGTV, and encouragement of new business through tax
incentives, grants and specialized business assistance. By building consensus
among stakeholders and decision makers the downtown park was renovated, 86% of
targeted properties were brought into compliance with revitalization plans, and
a satellite campus of the junior college was established in the heart of downtown.
As the manager of A-plus entertainment, I oversaw the production of 12 to 15
major events a year. My work with A-Plus required the ability to develop event
themes, audition and schedule performances, interview and select quality
catering facilities, mediate contracts for service between clients, companies,
and artists, oversee event execution, follow up with customer service
satisfaction surveys, and much more. Additionally, in my roles as Public
Affairs Officer and Community Relations Liaison I helped develop media campaigns
including radio and television advertising, produced promotional materials in
electronic broadcast format and via email, and most recently compact disk.
My strong academic interest in international and youth affairs segues to
personal commitment to youth development. Beyond my studies of international
affairs and conflict resolution, my affection for the students extends to my
foreign exchange children who stay in my home for yearlong programs, as well as
other local and international students who have enjoyed activities with our
family. I have formed nurturing relationships with foreign exchange students on
the university campus and have trained to be a sending coordinator for AFS.
In addition, I have a solid background in project and program development. As my
resume demonstrates, I have played an important role in the growth of several
organizations. In 1996, I assumed management of the Huntsville ISD technology
department. Within the first few months, employee productivity rose
significantly, budget inefficiency decreased, and customer relations
dramatically improved. While interning, I assisted the City Manager’s office in
Huntsville with data collection and analysis that will provide needed legitimacy
to the Texas Legislature when the City proposes legislation to designate a
special funding district. My role with the city also allowed me the opportunity
to work with Huntsville Main Street (which handles the Sister Cities program
here) and therefore interface with numerous organizations involved in event
planning and business promotion throughout the community.
Employers have consistently noted my professionalism, drive for customer
satisfaction, honesty, work ethic and attention to detail and would be happy to
serve as references. I am very interested in using my education and experiences
to benefit the goals of this company. Thank you for your consideration and I
look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi,

I'd be delighted to help out with your events team. I'm working as PR freelancer at the moment helping my tech clients to get involved in conferences in the UK and Europe. A lot of my time is spent talking to conference organisers so this is right up my street. I could also be interested in staffing events in the UK and mainland Europe.

Please get in touch if you are still looking for help.

Andy
We are waiting for discounts from the Mozilla Store, to sell it on FireFox Party's around the world.

We also don't know when version 2.00 may be released so, we cannot get a place for party. We need more than 3 weeks to get the stuff from Mozilla Store and to reserve a location.

Some economical help, is also well recivied.

I don't know very well how bugzilla works, so if i was doing some wrong, i'm sorry. I just was one of the people who are coordinating a spanish FireFox party.
