The window does launch but only after Ok is clicked in the Alert box. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Launch Firebird or open new window 2. 3. Actual Results: Alert dialog box appears with [ TypeError: mpopup.childNodes[i++] has no properties ].

do you have the Calendar extension installed? this is the only place mpopup.childNodes appears in the entire Mozilla source code.

I don't see this in Linux Gecko/20031007 Firebird/0.7, I don't have the calendar extensions.

How do I check for the calendar extension? I don't know how to confirm if I do have the calendar extension installed. All I did was download Firebird and run it, I also have Mozilla 1.4 installed, could there be some sort of conflict there?

Please try installing into a new directory and creating a new profile, using the MozillaFirebird.exe -p switch. Based on previous LXR search, marking this WORKSFORME. Please reopen if you can reopen after following the instructions above.
