Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3. NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64 graphics card. Driver version = 5.2.1.6. DirectX 9.0b

looks like you are running a theme other than the default. This is a theme bug. Talk to your theme author. Nothing thunderbird can do for this.

Maybe the problem is the uxtheme.dll patch installed. When running with standard Windows XP Theme there is no problem.
