What I think is changing it to dbclick instead of clicking once only as it can avoid people to select the URL wrongly by clicking once on the bookmark sidebar. if anything, we'd be changing history to match instead. (See bug 217472) current BM sidebar impl matches IE, and if you click on a bookmark anywhere else it opens on single click, so changing this back would be even more inconsistent.
