Details

User-Agent:
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7a) Gecko/20040128 Firebird/0.8.0+

When I choose "Save link to disk" from pop-up menu Firebird starts downloading
the file in the background immidiately even before I choose a place where to
save it. There has to be an option to disable such a behaviour because when you
have a broadband connection you are risking to download much of the file which
you don't want to have at all. (Imagine you'd like to save a small part of
musical file and then while you're browsing for the best place for it Firebird
already downloads half of it via your 10Mbit Internet connection).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Also that would be nice to have an option to set a firebird maximum connection
speed (like --limit-rate for GNU/wget program) for file downloads. Another idea
is to fetch file headers from the server and then present them to the user like
"You are trying to download file "http://host/dir/file" which has 10Mb size.
Continue?Yes:No"
Check Tools... Options... Downloads. Is "Save all files to this folder" selected?
