User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040208 Galeon/1.3.12 This is an enhancement request. Being able to select different "From" accounts in message composition is excellent, however, Kmail (as far as I know the only email client that does this) provides for multiple identities (From field, signature, etc.) for the same email address. Mozilla Mail and Mozilla Thunderbird gripe greatly if two different accounts have the same email address. Perhaps this could be solved by adding greater control to the folder settings for each account? The best example I can think of for the usabillity of this is my own-although I only have one pop account, I need to have a different signature and identity (nickname vs. real name vs. real name+title) when I send out emails to friends, coworkers, and clubs and organizations that I belong to. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create an account 2.Create a second account with a different email address and settings but the same server name and user name as the previous account. 3.Watch Mozilla mail and Thunderbird gripe at you :) Actual Results: I get the following error-"An account with that user name and server name already exists. Please enter a different user name and/or server name." I can then click ok and change the settings as appropriate. Expected Results: This is a feature request, not a bug, but in an ideal world the software would let me create the account and allow me the option of using the same Inbox/Sent/Trash/etc. folders.
