User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040113 Mozilla browser won't open a link to a resource on a samba server If you type "file://///mysambaserver/path/file.ext" in the addressbar, the file \\sambaserver\path\file.ext will open correctly. But if a link to such a file is made on a web page with an <a href> tag, nothing happens when you click on the link. The link is well understood by mozilla, since it appears purple, so it is considered as a visited link. An if you copy the link address, paste it into the address bar and hit enter, the file will be opened normally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Define such a link 2. Click on it 3. Wait forever Actual Results: Nothing happens Expected Results: The file should be opened by the browser
