User-Agent: Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.6) Gecko/20040206 Firefox/0.8 If you go to www.ekoke.com in any browser other than IE, you get the following message: <blockquote> Ekoke.com needs to be run with the Microsoft Explorer. This is due to the fact that this is a web-based application, not just a website. If you do not have the Microsoft Internet Explorer installed in your computer, you can download it from the Microsoft website." </blockquote> I've tried with Mozilla, Firefox and Opera. It works fine with IE, and also with Opera pretending to be IE, which shows that it doesn't really require IE: they just want to microsoftize us all. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to http://www.ekoke.com Actual Results: Message saying to download IE. Expected Results: Allowed access to the site.

Changing the user agent shows a website that fully works under Mozilla. Here is what I wrote them: ------------------------------------ Subject: Your Website Hello, For security reasons our company uses only Linux-based computers. As a result it is not possible for us to use Microsoft Internet Explorer on our computers. Instead we use the popular and standards compliant Mozilla Firefox and your website refuses blindly to let non-IE users enter your website altough (after faking our browser's identity) your website works perfectly under our operating system and browser. More and more people are switching to alternate web browser that could easily access your website (without cheating and faking their browser identitiy that is) so why don't you let these ~20% potential customers to visit your website ? Your website is already listed in the bug tracking system of the mozilla foundation (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=235242) and I'm sure it'll bring your company good publicity if you removed your browser check code as it is not necessary anymore. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need help into fixing your web application; i'll be glad to help you for the sake of compatibility and accessibility for everyone on the web. Here are some stats: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp http://www.onestat.com/html/aboutus_pressbox34.html I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Best regards. Conforming summary to TFM item 10 at http://www.mozilla.org/projects/tech-evangelism/site/procedures.html#file-new Reporter, when you file a TE bug, please follow the reporting guidelines.
Summary: Blocks all but IE. → ekoke.com - Blocks all but IE
The site as it was likely doesn't exist any more at ekoke.com. There is just an ad site, with the domain 'ekoke.com' being offered for sale. So this can now be closed
