I've pasted the source of a typical HTML message with this problem. When I view 
it, It shows up with the background color I've specified for HTML mail, but 
doesn't display the font. If I change the display background color, I can read 
the mail.
If I reopen the message later, I have to change the background color _again.
It's not just that I can't see the font. There's no vertical scrollbar when the 
font's not displayed, suggesting it's not being rendered at all.
I've put the source for a sample mail with this problem in additional 
information.
This is not a problem I can reproduce reliably.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open email
2. See complete emptiness
3. Change HTML Messages/Background Color in Tools/Options/Display

Actual Results:  
Message displayed with new background color

Expected Results:  
Message should have displayed when opened

Attachment: 4 Emails that reproduce the problem reliably

Each of the emails in the attached zip file fails to display when I first open
it, but displays once I change the background color for displaying HTML emails.
They're all from Harvard Business School students using MS Outlook, and I
believe they're all mixed plaintext/HTML content.

No, I haven't seen this since the version in which I reported it, I don't think.
I kind of recall writing this bug report, but not actually experiencing the bug
-- the last six months have been a long time for me.
