I'm in Mozilla mail. I want to add a new address to the Address Book. When I
click on New Card, I get a form to fill out. I type in the new person's first
name, then his/her last name. The display box fills automatically with

First Name Last Name Example: Jane Smith

I prefer a display of Last Name, First Name Example: Smith, Jane

Mozilla should make a Preference available, so that, if the user wishes, the
Display box is filled automatically with Last Name, First Name.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. In the Windows menu, click on Messages and Mail
2. Open the Address Book. Click on New Card
3. Begin to fill in the form. There is no way to tell Mozilla to enter Last
Name, First Name in the Display box.

Actual Results:
Mozilla fills in the Display box with First Name Last Name. Short of
re-typing, there's no way to change the order of the names displayed.

Expected Results:
In Mail Preferences, there should be an option controlling how new names are
displayed in the address box.
I believe there already is a pref - hidden: Try adding this to user.js
(save it in same dir as preferences.js)

user_pref("mail.addr_book.displayName.lastnamefirst", true);

Should be done while mozilla is not running.
Any change after restart?
CORR: should have been: "save it in the same dir as prefs.js"

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
