Hello,
I have the same problem with my HP laser4+ printer.
My printer is loaded with A4 size paper. When i print a page, the size shown by
the dialog box is "US letter". if i send the printing, the printer waits
until i feed it with paper in the manual tray.
It is not a very blocking bug, but my printer is connected to a network and stop
the queue printing.
If i put an A4 sheet in the manual tray, the printer print an it is OK.

I have to remember to change the paper size in the dialog box.

Excuse my "Frenchy" english.

Maybe this bug will be corrected in the next release.
Except that, FireFox is GREAT and superb soft to replace IE

Thank you

Hello again,
I am sorry, i did not pay attention, but the comment i added just before is on
an XP SP2 machine.

Reporter, can you try out Firefox 1.5 ? it has fixed many bugs in this area.
It's showing millimetes on my Windows XP machine (English UK regional settings), will check on Linux when I return to work.

Jean-Luc - we have the same problem in various applications with the HP5si printer, i.e. defaulting to a page size i've never even seen in the flesh. As far as I can tell this is an issue with the drivers and the application. - Some applications such as MS Office are bright enough to choose A4 when the regional settings are set to "English (United Kingdom)".
If you open the control panel, open printers and faxes, right click on your printer, select properties, click "printing preferences" and change your tray and paper size, then click ok - this should change the default options which all programmes should use next time you run them.
Margins are still displayed in imperial mesurements in Firefox 1.5 on Mandrake when all of KDE/Mandrivas regional settings are in English/United Kingdom.
