It would be usefull to have information about recent operations that were
performed on each message such as : time, date of last reply, time date and
email of last forward, or even more complex things like directory to which the
attachments have been saved, or even the message that has been used when
replying or forwarding. This information should be displayed together with date,
subject & address in main pane, but it should be also nice to have columns +
search criteria related to these.
Note - similar feature is implemented in recent version of Outlook (note Outlook
Express) but only for reply and forward (not attachments). It's very usefull
when you do not remember the history of communication related to a given person.

Steps to Reproduce:
I've switched from using Mozilla Suite (long-time user) to Thunderbird as my
IMAP client and I would like to chime in on the benefits of this feature.  

As Scott says, Outlook adds an "information bar" at the top of the message
window with details about the last forwarding or reply.  I already find the
basic information of the reply or forward arrow on the message list to be
useful, but I can't always remember the details.  Getting that would be great
and being able to jump directly to any replies would be GREAT.
