If I view a digitally signed (S/MIME) mail normally (unexpanded headers)
there is no indication of whether the mail is signed, unsigned or
tampered with. I have to click the expand header button to see the icon (or
click View->Message Security Info). In
Netscape 4, there was a easily visible stamp in the mail pane.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.send myself PKI signed mail
2. tamper with mail folder
3.view mail message

Actual Results:
I see a normal message with e.g. "Subject: test pki"

Expected Results:
Made it perfectly clear that the message had been tampered with by adding a
certificate link close to the top of the message pane (to catch the eye
when reading the message)
finger trouble. I don't normally use Mozilla for mail except for PKI, and
was confused between all/normal headers and one-line/N-line headers.

How about adding a small PKI icon to the 1-line minimized view (subject only) ?

bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
