when dispaying a message with emoticons, emoticons are replaced by spaces

Steps to Reproduce:
1. send to itself a message with emoticons
2. display the message
3.

Actual Results:  
white spaces replace the emoticons

Expected Results:  
display the emoticons

the icons for the bookmarks in the browser are also corrupted

the pinball theme is selected. all is perfect with modern theme. The used
pinball theme is freshly downloaded

The emoticon graphics come from the theme.  Sounds like the pinball theme just
needs fixing....

Like BZ says. After emoticons became themable (fix for bug 84950 on 2004-03-10)
it requires the theme you use to actually support it. Allthough Pinball claims
compatibility with 1.8*: judging by the filename the currently available
download is really a 1.6 theme (2004-01-16_1.6)
