Works as designed. What page do you expect it to go back to when you haven't visited any other help page in that window yet? It's kind of like when you first launch the browser, the back button is grayed out because you've only been to the current page so far.

Or, maybe you're saying you've opened up the help window once, closed it, then reopened it. At that point you might want to go back to the help screen you were at before you closed the window. Is that what you mean?
If the Help -> About Mozilla is to show version only. Then it should have a "CLOSE" button within the page to close this page when done. This is how it is done is most About page and also done in MS IE. Other wise, it does not help to navigate if "back" "forward" button grayed out. It should have a "Close" button to close out the page, if "back" n "forward" have no use.
Also, would you please tell me when under what scenerio for the "back" n "forward" button are working within the Help -> About Mozilla page.

(In reply to comment #8) > Also, would you please tell me when under what scenerio for the "back" > n "forward" button are working within the Help -> About Mozilla page. If you click on a link in about mozilla, then you are in a new page. Back is now enabled. Click back to go back to about:mozilla. Now forward is enabled. Click forward and you're in the new page again. Back means what it means when any new window is opened. It's related to history. Not "go back to where I was before I went to help". I can see why you're confused, but this is more of a a usability issue. It's certainly not an accessibility API bug.

I think it would make the help window look more like a help window if it was opened was not a full sized browser window.
