Currently there is no API defined in nsIClipboard to empty the system clipboard.
Such API is needed when cutting and pasting complex object for which a second
paste of the object do not make sence. 

For example in the windows file explorer after cutting a file it can be pasted
only once.

For windows this functionality is achived by calling the EmptyClipboad win32
function.
