User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040614 Firefox/0.9
Build Identifier: 0.7+ (20040621+) branch builds

After the Global Inbox was ported to the Branch build and I tried to use it, but
it won't work for me : when I try to download my mail, it stops at "Receiving:
message 1 of N". It still reacts to mouse and keyboard but never download more.

When I close it, it crashes, and fills my profile's Inbox file with circa 10100
bytes of h00 ... This is the profile whose mail is diverted to the Global Inbox,
so this file is empty before the processing starts. After the crash, the task
manager still lists THUNDE~1.EXE and I have to kill it myself.

I did a clean install and reproduced the problem with a newly created test
profile. I had the problem with the Win32 0.7+ (20040622) branch build, as well
as the 20040621 one. Latests trunk builds ()ie. 0.6+ (20040617)) work fine for me.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Use branch build
2.configure accounts to use global inbox
3.check mail

Actual Results:

Expected Results:
Download my mail :)
David, any chance we missed a piece of code when porting this to the branch?
Does this problem happen if you don't defer the account, i.e., don't use the
global inbox? My gut instinct is that this might have more to do with some other
pop3 code I ported over to deal with poorly behaved pop3 servers, or with the
header only pop3 download stuff.

Are you using multiple pop3 accounts, and getting mail with all of them?

Ever confirmed: true
Ok, I refined my tests :
1) one set of local folders + one pop account with its inbox : ok.
2) the same, but said account reconfigured to Global Inbox, no restart : ok.
3) the same, after a restart : the problem comes back.

The last set of tests were done on a 0.7+ (20040623) build.
How are you getting new mail? By clicking get new mail with the local folders
inbox selected? Or...? Is your local folders account in the default location in
the profile dir? Do you have leave mail on server set? And, you say, if you run
a trunk tbird build against the same profile, it's fine?
*I Ctrl-T most of the time with the local folders selected, at least when I have
the problem, as there is no more account inbox.
*The mail dir is at the default location in a newly created profile.
*I do not leave any mail on server.
*I did not try my test profile with the trunk, but the problem first appeared
with my main profile, who ran fine before and still runs fine with a trunk build
(and still stalls with the branch)
I did a new test with 07+ 20040708, it works now. Thanks for what has been done
behind the scenes.
