QA = quality assurance. I don't know about software, but in the manufacturing world, that means you reject any product that does not conform to the product requiremnt. I don't think any QA, except Asa, has a say on what bug blocks a release. We need an independent QA process that will hold the engineering from releasing the product (final versions) 1. Create and identify testcases that must be passed before software release 2. Create a policy doc that specifically says so This bug compliments bug 249759
