I've seen similar bugs reported, but all on Microsoft versions with media control. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open a message composer window 2. Type something 3. Push CTL-A Actual Results: Nothing Expected Results: All text should've been selected

Well yes, I'd like to see Ctrl+A work too. But the official shortcut for Select All is Alt+A (see menu) - and that works.

Bug 150627 explains why Ctrl+A is not used for select all on *nix.
