In other words, some times I want to compose a message and not see the wrapping. But before the message is sent, I want it to be wrapped so the reciepent does not have a hard time reading it. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Compose a new message. 2. No way to turn off wrapping in the compisition window... 3. ... and still have the message wrapped before it gets sent Expected Results: T

Add this line to prefs.js: user_pref("mail.compose.wrap_to_window_width", true); If that suits your purpose, please mark this bug: Resolved|WorksForMe Be aware of this behavior: bug 233705.

No response from reporter, =>WFM On rereading this bug, perhaps reporter is actually looking for a way to just have the text your typing go on in a single line, without wrapping even at the window edge, and with horizontal scroll bar -- but I don't think that's the case. If it is, see bug 262475.
