The find toolbar misses a caret. So you aren't able to use the left and right
keys to correct some typo. Recognizing a typo at the beginning of a long word
results in deleting the whole letters which follows. It would be nice when we
could position the caret directly to the typo for changings.

This bug does not appear when the find toolbar is opened with the shortcut
Ctrl+F. In such a situation the caret is available. Instead opening the toolbar
with '//' results in none caret.

It is intentional that "/" puts focus on the found item rather than the Find
bar.  This allows you to follow links by pressing Enter.

However the current "/"(text mode) or "'"(links mode) FAYT feature doesn't allow
to input non-western characters in an asian user experience unless focusing the
caret onto the Find Toolbar by mouse.
I doubt it's due to the lack of caret.
It does work very well in Mozilla, but not in Firefox Find Toolbar.

That was a bug and is fixed now in current trunk builds like Mozilla/5.0 (X11;
U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20050918 Firefox/1.6a1
