This bug occurs with both, Seamonkey 1.8a2 and Firefox 0.9.1 on OS X 10.3.4

When opening a URL from another program (e.g., clicking on a link in
Thunderbird) while Mozilla is in offline mode, the current browser window comes
to front and nothing happens, the page isn't loading (if it was not cached) and
no alert window is visible. Sometimes, the alert can be seen in Exposé or after
closing some windows, sometimes it is visible directly after clicking the link.

Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make Mozilla the default browser.
2. Empty cache
3. Click on a link in a different application or type 'open
http://www.mozilla.org' in the terminal
4. Hit F10 (Exposé)
5. Close some Mozilla windows
Actual Results:
After Step 3: The current browser window comes to front, but no alert can be
seen, but sometimes, it is visible.
After Step 4: The alert ("This page cannot be displayed while offline...") can
be seen in Exposé, but sometimes, this is not the case
After Step 5: When the alert was not visible in Step 3 and Step 4, it can be
seen now (always).

Expected Results:
When the page can not be loaded, the alert should be visible after clicking the
link.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

The latest beta releases can be obtained from:
Firefox: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/firefox/
Thunderbird: http://www.mozilla.org/products/thunderbird/releases/1.5beta1.html
Seamonkey: http://www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/
This is still reproducable in Mozilla 1.8b
Can you reproduce with SeaMonkey v1.1.9 ?
No, it's not reproducable with 1.1.9 anymore -- the alert is now shown inside the browser window -- this bug can be marked as WFM.
