In Linux build 2000.01.29.09, I can start composition only once.

To reproduce:
1. Click New Msg
2. Send message or say ALT+W
3. Click New Msg again

Actual result: No composition window appears.  Console output:

ComposeMessage from XUL
WEBSHELL+ = 9
WEBSHELL+ = 10

Expected result: Composition window.

Similar things happen with preferences, which I can only open once (bug 25702). 
Also, in HTML compose, I can insert a link only once.
Assigning to fenella since she's doing the daily smoke tests and can test for 
this with Monday's builds.
