Details
This problem occurs in Thunderbird; I suspect it also occurs in the Mozilla Suite. To reproduce: - Bring up Search Messages window (Ctrl-Shift-F) - Perform a search which returns no matches. Wait until it completes. - Note text "No matches found" in status bar. - Change criteria to some which produce a match. - Click "Search" again. - Note status bar still says "No matches found" even as matches are appearing in the list. Status bar is only updated when search completes. What should happen: starting a new search should empty the status bar. As a more general point, this window does not give enough feedback that a search is in progress. The only way to tell is if the "Search" button now says "Stop". That's not really enough. :-| Gerv

WFM - "searching" appears in the status bar - SM trunk Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060714 SeaMonkey/1.5a - TB trunk version 3 alpha 1 (20060906) - after initial delay of the search starting (seems to start *much* slower than seamonkey)
