Details
User-Agent: Opera/7.54 (Windows NT 5.1; U) [en] Build Identifier: I have a folder taking up more than 700MB in just over 1500 messages. Sometimes when I have opened other (smaller) folders first, and then open this large folder, Thunderbird wants to (re)create this "summary file". But it seems that this summary file is not stored permanently, as it is generated over and over again. Also generating this file takes a long time (think of minutes), and I can't say I have a slow system. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a couple of folders under Inbox 2. Get a few thousand mails in it, all of them having one or more (large) attachments 3. Put a few mails in the other folders as well 4. Open the large folder 5. Now open other folders 6. Just to be sure, close Thunderbird and open it again. 7. Now try to go to the large folder. If I'm right, it wil regenerate the summary file a second time. Actual Results: I had to wait a few minutes again before the summary file was recreated. Expected Results: Reuse the summary file that aleady existed, or not delete it if that's what happens. The mail folders were imported from OE, but I had to move them to my real Inbox folders.
I've confirmed the same behavior. I'm using TB 0.9 on XP home SP2. I have over 700 messages in my inbox that was imported from outlook 2000.

I have the same behaviour with a very large local folder with subfolders with thunderbird 1.0. The software asks me to wait a very long time each time I want to view the content of a subfolder. It make impossible to use this software. Please CONFIRM this bug urgently. Thanks a lot. PS : the mail folders were imported from mozilla.
I have the same problem here. I have over 5000 emails in my inbox, just over 100MB. I did not have this problem in TB 0.9. Please confirm and fix this asap.
