User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.10.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; de-DE; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040803 Firefox/0.10.1

When using Mozilla (or Firefox) as FTP Client on a Windows FTP Server (e.g.
Serv-U32), a user that has access to more than one drive cannot move to another
than that where his homedir is located. Trys like 'ftp://user@bla.de/c:/' don't
work and I have no idea how to do it better. I come around the problem by having
created links to the other drives (Internet Explorer has the same problem, but
it does not display the links, so there is no way to go around it).

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Create a user on a Windows FTP Server that has access to both c:\ and d:\ with
homedir in d:\
2.Access to this server with this user ('ftp://username@servername'). Result:
You are logged in with d:\ as current directory
3.Try to change to c:\, e.g. by changing the address edit box to
ftp://username@servername/c:/ (I think that's the way it works in Konqueror)

Actual Results:
The site is not found. There is no obvious way to change to c:\.

Expected Results:
At least the way Konqueror solves the problem.
Better solution: When connecting to a FTP server, show a second bar with the
current directory. The username could also be shown in a separate edit box like
pure ftp clients do.
what if you try: ftp://username@servername//
(note two slashes at the end)?
The drives don't exist as drives on the remote server, they are probably
available as funny named directories "c:" and "d:". Christian is describing the
right solution.

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

Ok, so the right way is to do ftp://user@host//c:/
This works!
