When I click on Visit URL in the Edit Event window, it opens the URL in a tab in an existing browser window, instead of in a new browser window. I don't use tabs. I despise tabs. So please add a preference so that I can make the calendar not load into tabs. Or, perhaps, make it only open in a new tab if the existing preference "open tabs instead of windows for middle click" is checked (which, in my case, is not.) Opening in tabs instead of opening in new window depends on current browser settings, not on Sunbird settings... So---->invalid/won't fix?
(In reply to comment #2) > Opening in tabs instead of opening in new window depends on current browser > settings, not on Sunbird settings... So---->invalid/won't fix? > Omar is right, this is a browser issue. You can configure the use of tabs vs windows in Firefox by going to Tools->Options (Firefox->Preferences on mac) and selecting the Tabs panel. This gives you plenty of control to completely disable tabs if you wish. Sunbird merely hands the URL off to the default system browser for URL's. It doesn't control how that browser interprets the URL. If you are seeing tabs open when you have all preferences set to "open in new windows" then that is likely a firefox bug, and I encourage you to file it there. Marking invalid.
