Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041020

In previous versions, it was possible to open files in directories that start
with a period, or to save them there. The "Show hidden files and directories"
checkbox is no longer there, and the dialogs don't list those hidden directories.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.In the file menu, select Save file
2.look for the directory that starts with a period.

Actual Results:
The hidden directories are not visible.

Expected Results:
Hidden directories should be visible.
can you right-click the file listing and choose "show hidden files"?
Marking invalid. Sounds like reporter is using the native GTK2 dialog now, and
for that the steps in comment 1 work. Please reopen if I've misunderstood
something.
