Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

When you drag and drop URL's from the location bar to a new mail message being
created in Eudora 6.2 the result includes extraneous extra characters after the
URL. Here are a couple of examples of the incorrect results produced:
http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1630837,00.asp p">
http://my.yahoo.com/ >

These URL's should have produced:
http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1630837,00.asp
http://my.yahoo.com/

When I use Internet Explorer 6 or Netscape 4.78 with Eudora I always get the
correct results. Funny thing is that when I perform the same test between
Firefox and MS Word 97 I always get the correct results too.

Therefore I can only produce the incorrect results between Firefox and Eudora
which might indicate that it is a Eudora problem yet when I use the other
browsers with Eudora there is no problem which indicates that it is a Firefox
problem. Why does the drag and drop work correctly with MS Word but not Eudora?

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.open a website in firefox
2.drag and drop from the location bar to a new email created in Eudora 6.2
3.

Actual Results:

http://my.yahoo.com/ >

Expected Results:

http://my.yahoo.com/

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.

I'm currently running FF 1.07 and Eudora 6.2.3.4 and it appears to be fixed now.
