Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041107 Firefox/1.0

sometimes after i close firefox and i try to open it again later it asks me to
pick a profile which usually didnt happen before 1.0... and then when i look at
windows task manager it says that firefox is still open when it was closed hours
before.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. visit a variety of sites
2. close firefox
3. open firefox and profile window pops up
4. click on exit
5. check task manager and firefox is still running

Actual Results:
firefox is still running and it is not open

Expected Results:
closed after i exited firefox before
Summary: crash → Firefox process keeps running after closing Firefox
I sometimes get this one also. But the profile window is not always popping up.
What is the same: in task manager you still see firefox.exe. Closing this one
gives you the opportunity to restart firefox properly.
Reporter: Does this happen every time you open/close Firefox? Does this also
occour with a new profile?
i figured out that it happens when i open up web pages with WMV movies that are
playable on the site itself
This has been happening to me quite often since I upgraded the computers in my
office to 1.0. It doesn't happen all the time, but often. I see other bug
submissions for the same thing, but they all appear to be marked as
"UNCONFIRMED". I think they might want to change that. Seems pretty confirmed
to me.
The same here on FreeBSD 5.3. I need to manually kill firefox-bin processes
every time. 100% reproducible.
