Details

The login dialog box offers two available profiles: "Bertil Lindberg" and
"Default User". If I select "Bertil Lindberg" and click on "Start Mozella", I
receive the message: Mozilla cannot use the profile "Bertil Lindberg" because it
is in use. This happens all the time even when I just started my computer, and I
am not using Mozilla.

Switching to the profile "Default User" solves the problem and I can log in.
Did you experience power failure or "Blue Screen" while Mozilla is running?
If yes, your problem is probably because of undeleted parent.lock file in
Profile Directry.
Delete the file when the profile of "Bertil Lindberg" is apparently not used,
for example just after re-boot, then start Mozilla and choose the profile of
"Bertil Lindberg".
Will it resolve your problem?
Bert's response to comment from m-wada@japan.com at 2005-01-04 02:11 PST.
Bert: No, I do not experience power failure or "Blue Screen" while Mozella is
running.
Reporter:
Do you see a lock file inside the broken profile ?

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
