277379 - Wish to use trademark logos for distributing Firefox and Thunderbird via CD

I plan to make up an Open Source software CD including OpenOffice.org, 
Firefox, Thunderbird and The GIMP.

I will be using the latest zip versions of Firefox and Thunderbird and will be 
localising the default search plugins. I also wish to include some more search 
plugins and extensions on the CD. Ideally I would like to pre-install some of 
the extensions and search plugins with Firefox and Thunderbird so they are 
there ready to run when the software is copied to someone's computer. If I do 
this can I still use the Firefox and Thunderbird trademarks and logos?

As long as you distribute unmodified versions of the software as obtained from
mozilla.org you have no problems at all.  There are provisions for you to make
some additional changes as outlined in the Distribution Policy for Software
Distributors at http://www.mozilla.org/licensing

In general, we're asking that you not pre-install or pre-integrate any
Extensions of Themes that mozilla.org does not also pre-install or
pre-integrate.  This does not mean that you cannot distribute them, and provide
your users with the option of installing them.  For a great example on how to do
this withing our policies, please check out the Firemonger CD Project at
http://www.firemonger.org.  This is a community-run volunteer project to create
ISO images which include the latest versions of Firefox and Thunderbird
including a set of Extensions, Themes and Documentation with help files and
documentation.

If you wish to go the other route, you would fall under our Community Edition
guidelines.
