Thunderbird version 1.0 (20041206)

On install, I chose to create a Quick Launch bar icon ( and start menu entry,
but no desktop icon ). It was created for Administrator only. Other users do not
see it in their Quick Launch bar. The Start Menu entry is visible for all.
QA Contact: installer
I would kindly ask if that is the case with newer installations? Or if you found a solution meanwhile?

Also, I think this is an Operating System issue related to installer vs icon creation for all users rather than actual TB issue.

I change for minor and would recommend even WORKS FOR ME resolution.

Yes. Tried 2.0.0.14
Does this happen differently on other software installation? Just to determine if it's "OS and users" or TB issue.
What "other software installation" ?

Can't you just reassign this to the guy who wrote the installer script ?

Matt, Baffoni, do you know what (should) normally happens with "end user" apps installed on servers?

On a machine where I had installed FF 3.0 logged on to administrator, using a non-admin logon FF does not appear anywhere - desktop, start menu or quick launch. I never used a mozilla product on a non-admin userid before tonight, but this is what I would expect. Server is not a multi user system, in the sense that XP, 2000, etc are.
Start menu and desktop icon are normally installed for all users.
I looked for duplicates in both thunderbird and FF and didn't find, so confirming
