User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050111 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050111 If I Close Quick-Launch feature, then run Mozilla, it defaults to my homepage (www.bobandgeorge.com). The javascript drop-down menus do not work properly until I visit a couple sites, then close the browser and open another one. After which, it works fine until I close Quick-Launch again. This bug occurs regardless of my current home page. This bug continues if I go to any of the following as well: http://www.bobandgeorge.com http://www.rpgworldcomic.com http://www.slackerscomic.com/destinydreamers/ These are the only javascript drop-down menu sites I visit on a regular basis, so it probably holds true to any other sites that use a similar script. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Right-click QuickLaunch and Exit Mozilla. 2. Double-click desktop icon for Mozilla. (This also loads QuickLaunch again) 3. Visit http://www.bobandgeorge.com/ 4. Look at the tiny square followed by a list that belongs in the drop-down box. (Note: The first item in the list is blue as if it were the highlighted item in the box.) Actual Results: A tiny square followed by a list that belongs in a drop-down box. The first item in the list is blue as if it were the highlighted item in the box. Expected Results: There should be a drop-down box that each item when clicked on will jump to a specific page. Default theme is the one I use. ~~~ about:buildconfig Build platform target i586-pc-msvc Build tools Compiler Version Compiler flags $(CYGWIN_WRAPPER) cl 12.00.8804 -TC -nologo -W3 -Gy -Fd$(PDBFILE) $(CYGWIN_WRAPPER) cl 12.00.8804 -TP -nologo -W3 -Gy -Fd$(PDBFILE) -I/usr/X11R6/include Configure arguments --enable-application=suite --without-system-jpg --without-system-zlib --enable-extensions=default,tasks --enable-crypto --disable-auto-deps --disable-debug --enable-optimize
The left image is the bug as described. The right image shows what it normally looks like if I click through a few bookmarks, close Mozilla, open it again and go back to the page.
Correction, shutting down Mozilla whether I close quicklaunch or not causes the javascript error to occur. Additionally, the pattern that seems to correct the problem is specifically visiting www.bobandgeorge.com, then www.rpgworldcomic.com, then back to www.bobandgeorge.com (All done via my bookmarks on the Sidebar), close Mozilla, open it again and it works. Closing the browser again causes it to stop working again and a need to repeat the process.

Does it have to do with activating or de-activating the Quick-Lauch feature before closing it??
WFM Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8b2) Gecko/20050521 Reporter can you test this with a recent nightly build please.
