Details

It looks like Cairo hardcodes GetAveCharWidth to 7px.  This will badly break
users of this in Gecko (eg <input type="text"> sizing)...

Assigning to the person with the blame for the code.
this was fixed long long ago.

Verified.  Looks like this was fixed in rev 1.2 of nsThebesFontMetrics.cpp about 8 months after this bug was filed.
