Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050111
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8a6) Gecko/20050111

Mozilla does not link to Thunderbird from the Window -> Mail & Newsgroups command.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Thunderbird first and get email configured for at least one account.
2. Install Mozilla onto same machine.
3. Go to Window Menu in Mozilla and click Mail & Newsgroups.

Actual Results:
It comes up with a wizard to configure email, even though my email is already
configured.

Expected Results:
Opened up Thunderbird.
Mozilla Suite has a built in mail program. Why should it link to TB for that
menu command?

If you want to use your OS default mail program for mailto: links use the pref
network.protocol-handler.external.mailto with true.
Version: unspecified → Trunk
Could not find network.protocol-handler.external.mailto in either prefs. Can you
be more specific on were to set this, or is there a gui way to do it?

Thank you.
There is no reasonable gui for that pref past about:config.

But this bug as filed is invalid. That menu option opens up the mozilla suite
mail client, as it's supposed to.
