Details

The applet.jar from webcam_server (http://webcamserver.sourceforge.net/) will
hang firefox if it's run with http authentication. Firefox chrome and page stop
responding, the applet still displays/interacts fine.

This is a problem with firefox 1.0 and the latest nightly. It is not a problem
with Mozilla 1.7.5 (that comes with gnome). I haven't tested with other versions
of firefox or mozilla.

I have not tested with digest http authentication.

Getting this bug off my lists... I think I remember years ago noticing that this was a dupe of something (possibly something invalid) relating to me having set up java in a screwy way. Or something like that. Also, I have no idea what jre version I was using, and the upstream project is dead... I'm just going to close this as incomplete and be done with it.
