The pages in Yahoo! Mail, CNET.com, and perhaps other sites are sometimes
persistently rendered incorrectly. There is no formatting; content is moved
from cells of tables at one "height" on the page to the bottom of the page;
Javascript buttons with dropdown menus are shown as regular buttons; and the
content of these menus is moved to the bottom of the page, always visible.
Sometimes restarting the browser is necessary, sometimes that doesn't help
(probably need to reboot).
All of the pages are not necessarily messed up at the same time - for example,
right now, CNET works fine, but Yahoo Mail is screwed up.
I used to attribute this to a busy connection (I use dial-up), but that's not
consistent, either.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Not sure.
Note how the button menus show up as regular buttons (Mark, Move To...).
The options from the drop down menus at the top have been moved to the bottom
of the page.
IT looks to me as if FIrefox hasn't retrieved the style sheet document for the
page - this sometimes happens over a slow connection .... and I've seen it
intermittently elsewhere. Does this problem repair itself if you press 'Reload'
(that would always do it for me) --
This is my first bug report or additional comment (hope I'm doing this right).
I'm experiencing the same rendering issues with Yahoo Mail. Refresh does not
correct the problem. I'm on a very fast cable connection and there do not
appear to be an connectivity or speed of connection issues.

My OS is Windows XP Home (2002), Service Pack 2. Pentium 4, 2.8 GHZ, 512MB RAM.

Firefox version is: 1.0.3. I have not encountered this issue with earlier
version of Firefox.
More additional information... pages within my yahoo mail account that don't
deal directly with mail seem to render fine... The Calendar and Notepad page
display in the expected way. Mail Plus (all related pages/mail folders) and any
pages associated with the address book render improperly. I have attached four
screen shots - two of the improper rendering in Firefox (1.0.3), one of the
proper rendering of the Calendar in Firefox and one of the proper rendering of
the mail page in IE6.
This is an illustration of the rendering of the inbox for Yahoo Mail with
Firefox 1.0.3.	The internet provider is Cox Cable and the connection is stable
and fast. The rendering issue is not fixed by reloading the page or by signing
off and back on later.	The page renders as it should in IE6.
Yahoo mail is known, I think, to have problems in standards-compliant browsers,
and this is probably a duplicate bug. You might want to poke around and see
what's up.

This actually looks like images are blocked on yahoo under Firefox. Under
Tools->Options->Web Features, make sure that "load images from the originating
site only" isn't checked (known to break Yahoo and other major sites) and that
the exceptions list doesn't have anything with yahoo in it.

please ignore the first paragraph there.
Thanks. :) Checked the web features settings earlier this evening and they
were set correctly (as indicated) but the the mail and address pages were still
rendering incorrectly. Checked the privacy settings too, just in case it is
some kind of issue with the cookies... but that didn't seem to be it either.

Checked back later tonight (about five hours later to be exact) and now
everything renders fine. As far as I can tell, nothing has changed on my system
since 5 hours ago. Connection speed still seems to be about the same and I have
not added, modified, or changed anything on either Firefox, Yahoo, or my
Firewall. Quite the mystery.
Running Firefox 1.0.4, I've found two pages so far that render incorrectly in
Firefox, but are rendered properly in IE6. For example, this
(http://www.neopets.com/medieval/knowledge.phtml) site, when displayed in
Firefox 1.0.4, doesn't show the flash game (look at the page source to see where
it is) but when view in IE6, it is showed clearly. The other site isn't really
a single site per se. Myspace.com profiles, when view in IE6 and older versions
of Firefox (I think that it worked in 1.0.3, but I'm not sure) show eight boxes
(Send Message, Forward to Friend, Instant Message, Block User, Rank User, Add to
Friends, Add to Favorites, and Add to Group) below the person's picture, but in
the current version of Firefox only five (Send Message, Forward to Friend,
Instant Message, Block User, Rank User) are shown. I have not experienced any
problems with Yahoo! Mail, however there might be some that I just didn't
notice. Here are the URLs of two Myspace Profiles that have this problem:
http://myspace.com/michaelseydel & http://myspace.com/aj_23 . So far I have not
seen a profile that has not had this problem with this current version of
Firefox (1.0.4).

This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.

While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.

If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
