Firewall options are ok. After reinstalling Firefox 1.0, all functions normally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Start Firefox 1.0.1 (very often) 2.Uninstall it 3.Reinstall Firefox 1.0.1 and start it (it doesn't function(at first time and so on...)) Actual Results: It doesn't display any webpage. And when closing, I can't beend the process. With Task-Manager it doesn't end, too. Only a reboot helps. Expected Results: Display webpages. (Firefox 1.0 does it very good)

If you can't close it with the taqskmanager on XP, it's a problem with your system. ("hangs" in one of the kernel mode drivers). "Firewall options" ->Which Firewall ? (if you have problems with opening pages this is an important information) Did you update the firewall that it recognize the new Firefox.exe ? This is a worksforme (must be a system problem). Please ask me via mail, use the mozillazine.org or firefox-browser.de (german) Forums if you need Enduser help

I did it again. I started installing in 'windows secured mode' and it now works good. Only problem: it doesn't display specified webpages correctly (Version 1.0 no problem) Example: <http://www.t-online.de>

I don't know why, but now, afetr a reststart, it displays all pages as well as in version 1.0.
