It would be great if the email expandable tags also included the poster and
poster's email address.  This way, I could do this:
 
   From: %poster% <%posteremail%> (by way of Bugzilla)
   Reply-To: %maintainer%%emailsuffix%

Main advantage is that some of my users want to be able to sort bugzilla emails
by the poster, but still post additional comments via the bugzilla_email_append.

This is somewhat related to bug #70710, but not explicitly.

I took a gander at fixing this.  Works as expected, but it's not perfect if
there are multiple updates before the email gets sent.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

Looking at the patch you do not need to grab the changer from @diffs, $changer should be the one you want. When attaching please request review from appripriate person, see http://www.bugzilla.org/docs/reviewer-list.html (or leave empty if you do not know). Otherwise patches are very likely not seen (like this one).
